Job Description

To assemble parts and assemblies to complete finished product, meeting defined production standards, schedules and quality requirements. In this role you will work with various tools for the completion of product to engineering specifications and standards. There will be special projects to be completed as required and you will support the Quality Department with respect to product testing and evaluation.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assemble to completion existing products per engineering documents and established production standards
  • Operating other production equipment and performing tasks necessary to complete product to engineering specifications
  • Preparation and setup of necessary tools and equipment for assembly processes
  • Arranging of parts for completion from previous staging processes
  • Prepare for shipping finished product by palletizing, crating and loading as required
  • Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements i.e. continual improvements
  • Review of finished assemblies, parts and product to ensure accuracy against drawings and BOMs
  • Report production issues and assist in resolutions as required
  • Participate in and attend cross functional meetings as required
  • Perform other duties as requested by the department manager

Education and Experience

  • Minimum grade 12 or Equivalent
  • Experience in a production environment an asset
  • Familiarity with the use of tools and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions

Job Description

The candidate for the Shipper/Receiver Coordinator role must have basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize. Some experience with shipping/receiving would be an asset. Their main responsibility is to ensure that inventory is efficiently and accurately received at, or transferred from the factory. Major

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for receiving all incoming deliveries into the warehouse and ensuring deliveries are not damaged
  • Assists with loading and unloading orders
  • Prepares shipments (labelling, shrink-wrapping and palletizing)
  • Assists with overall warehouse maintenance and storage
  • Operates forklift and/or other material handling equipment
  • Sorting goods and packing parcels for outgoing order shipments
  • Processing orders through a computerized shipping system
  • Performing functions associated with picking and putting away product
  • Operating manual and powered material handling equipment
  • General clean-up of the warehouse and work areas
  • Follow all regulated health and safety policies and procedures

Education and Experience

  • Grade 12 or equivalent preferred
  • Hands on work experience in a shipping/receiving environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Ability to work within all levels of the organization
