Guiding you through the stunning Fraser River Canyon is professional guide and owner of Sturgeon Slayers, Kevin Estrada. Prior to becoming one of the most respected sturgeon guides in British Columbia, Kevin graduated from Michigan State University and was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes. After enjoying a strong professional hockey career, Kevin found himself back on his home waters, the might Fraser River. Since then, Kevin has dedicated his time to developing Sturgeon Slayers into one of BC’s premier sturgeon fishing operations. Kevin served on the Board of Directors for the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society for 4 years and was the 2015 award winner for Leadership. In 2018, with 60K + signatures, Kevin brought forth the first ever bill on sturgeon to the House of Commons in Ottawa that called for transitioning from gill nets to sustainable harvesting techniques that will reduce impacts on Sturgeon. Further to this bill, Kevin was mentioned by MP Fin Donnelly in his farewell speech, alongside a list of world and community leaders, as a privilege to meet and work with in his career. The former professional hockey player helped start the Ladd Foundation Sturgeon Charity Event with former teammate Andrew Ladd. Some of the top NHL players attend, with guests from around the world, to raise money for various causes with partial proceeds going back to support Sturgeon. Kevin and his partner Mariko Izumi have made their home in the Fraser Valley with their wild and adventurous daughter and son

Brendan grew up in Pitt Meadows just outside Vancouver, BC, Canada and developed a love for fishing at an early age. After a lengthy 14 year career in the NHL, Brendan now has more time to get out on the water and is currently the host of the popular fishing show, Reel West Coast, which first aired in 2018. Brendan has had the privilege to fish waters around the world and views fishing as therapy and as a time to connect to the outdoors while disconnecting from the instant demands of today’s world. Chasing fish in the ocean, rivers or lakes brings many different challenges that are unique to each location. Brendan describes the adrenaline rush from a fish biting your presentation as electric and his goal is to encourage people of all ages, to get out on the water and experience that feeling to create lifelong memories.

Captain Robert Taylor (USCG Licensed) of Newport Sport Fishing Charters located in Newport, Rhode Island, has been fishing the waters off Newport, Block Island, Narragansett Bay and the off-shore waters of the south coast for over twenty years. A Newport resident, he has extensive knowledge of the southern New England waters; and prides himself on finding fish and ensuring his customers leave with a great hands on, educational fishing experience. A winner of the “On the Water” Striper Cup, Monster Shark Tournament and Run and Gun Bluefin Shoot Out, Fluke Till ya Puke, and Fall Tog Classic, captain Rob steams to where the fish are biting. Captain Rob has been featured On the Water TV and Season on the Edge with Ken Baldwin. Although he is busy commercial and charter fishing, in his free time he is surf casting at his new secret fishing spot, to find out where and when the big bass are – locations he will come in to the rocks for his fishing charters.

Rob Endsley owns and operates Prince of Wales Sportfishing in Southeast Alaska and has been a fixture in the fishing industry in the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years. He spent 15 years as the co-host of the popular Outdoor Line radio show on 710 ESPN Seattle and more recently launched the Live2Boat social media platforms. Live2Boat features boat walkthroughs, outboard performance reviews, boating products, and everything related to boating in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Captain BJ Silvia of Flippin Out Fishing Charters (located in Portsmouth, Rhode Island) has been fishing Newport, Block Island and Narragansett Bay his whole life.

Mike has proven himself as effective at catching people as he is at catching fish. This is accomplishes with fishing seminars. Mike enjoys sharing his knowledge to fellow anglers and has appeared at numerous national seminars. He is also an active Environmental Steward.

Capt. Trey Baker was born and raised in Pensacola Fl. Unlike most guides , Capt Trey wasn’t born into a fishing family. It wasn’t until the age of 16 that he really started saltwater fishing. After a couple years he got very competitive and started a fishing team in college. Playing sports his whole life made him a competitor and wanting to be the best at things he cared about. The first year fishing as a team they placed in a few inshore tournaments. The following year he started offshore fishing and never looked back.
