SHOCKWAVE Announces New Heated Commander Seat

SHOCKWAVE Seats, a Canadian-based marine suspension company revolutionizing marine shock mitigation around the globe, announces new heated Commander seats. The new heated seat is available to our recreational and commercial boating customers. This new addition offers two heated cushions – both a back and seat cushion, ensuring the occupant really feels the warmth. The cushions heat up rapidly, ensuring a comfortable trip in the winter months and shoulder seasons in northern climates.

“We wanted to deliver an even better boating experience for those boaters who are out on the water in the winter months, and on cool fall days. Our heated seats enhance our existing high-quality Commander seats and they offer a path to spending more time on the water enabling additional boating months each year,” commented David Smith, SHOCKWAVE Owner and President.

Each heated seat is supplied with a wiring harness and illuminating rocker switch to simplify installation. The cushions are connected to a 10’ wiring harness using waterproof connecters which allows the switch to be mounted up to 10’ away from the seat – such as on the helm console. The illuminated rocker switch provides a quick visual indicator that the seat is ON. Also, the cushions can be wired directly into an existing switch panel on your helm console, or elsewhere. Each seat should be installed with its own switch, rated for a minimum of 6 amps.

SHOCKWAVE’S new heated seat is available NOW with a typical lead time of 6 weeks. The difference in the retail price between the regular Commander seat and the heated Commander seat is approximately an additional $650 USD. The Commander heated seat is offered in black but it can be special ordered in a custom color for an additional cost.
